Eastern 105.1 Fm was established in the sixth month (June) of the year 1998 when this honorable station took off on the mountain of Obour Tabiri a suburb of Koforidua the capital of Eastern Region–Ghana. It was the first Radio Station to be established in koforidua the capital of Eastern Region of Ghana.

This wonderful idea was conceived by one Mr. Owusu Acheampong.(Popularly known as MC Caterpillar) the son of Mr. /Mrs. Owusu natives of Jumapo in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Mr. Owusu Acheampong who then was residing in Zurich-Switzerland conceived this wonderful and powerful idea but was wondering how to put his ideas to reality, for the love of his country and just as the going says “Home sweet home”, he then took the best decision to come back to his lovely country Ghana to explore his creative ideas to help his country through a Radio Station, a platform to Educate, to Inform, to Entertain, to communicate, to build and explore multi –talents in the youth more especially to showcase the national resources, Business, Health, Sports,Tourism, our Culture, industries, Food and Agriculture, Religion etc.
